On October 3, The Meatpacking District and ARTNOIR will present From A Place, Of A Place, a five part program that uses art & performance to redefine public spaces in the Meatpacking District. The series will uncover stories of Black culture, commerce, and community to explore the neighborhood’s history and imagine its future.

The second performance, Visions in Motion Vol.2, features rising storytellers, performers, musicians, and artists at the nexus of contemporary Black culture including:

Lincoln Center, poet laureate Mahogany L. Browne,

Jazz vocalist Vuyo Sotashe, with Saxophonist Anthony Harvey, Keyboardist Chris Pattishall,

Bassist Endea Owens,

Drummer Ahmad Johnson and Trombonist Rashaan Salem.
